No improvement is too small or trivial to be worthwhile.
The foundation World without Mines supports a world where people can live without the fear of mines. A world where farmers can till the soil again and where children can play safely again.
That is why we are committed to humanitarian Mine action. Our aim is to lessen the social, economic and ecological effects of mines, of unexploded cluster munitions and of other explosive remnants of war.
Mine action does not relate only to technical surface clearance, it is also concerned with communities and human beings, whose existence is seriously affected by mines and explosive remnants of war. The aim is to reduce the dangers to such an extent that the population concerned can live in safety again.
